Long Sutton is also only a 50 minute drive from both the north coast featuring Weston Super Mare and Minehead and the south coast more famously known as The Jurassic Coast off Devon and Dorset.

The Cox family built Orchardleigh in Long Sutton in 1986 in the middle of an ancient cider orchard from which the property gets it's name. Set in nearly 2 acres of grounds each of the guest rooms looks out on to open countryside and at certain times of the year guests will experience grazing sheep right outside the window.

 

The month of May sees the beautiful apple blossom and later in the year the fruit on the trees is a real treat.

 

Orchardleigh is only a short 300m walk from the Village Shop, Devonshire Arms Hotel and the 500 year old Holy Trinity Church - with all 3 landmarks around the famous Village Green.


Our B & B accommodation

If you're looking for a comfortable and relaxing B&B experience Orchardleigh will not disappoint.

 

The two guest rooms were fully refurbished in 2012 and are well-equipped with modern bathroom and shower facilities; lounging area; digital TV; tea & coffee making facilities and FREE wi-fi.

 

A third guest room is equipped with digital TV; tea & coffee making facilities and FREE wi-fi, and has exclusive use of the adjacent bathroom.

 

If you think the "Bed" arrangements are good, just wait until you experience the "Breakfast" element of your stay.

 

Guests can choose either a Continental or traditional Full English Breakfast - or both, with unlimited tea, coffee and fruit juices.

 

Wherever possible food is sourced locally, with breads, milk, Croissants and Pain au Chocolats often sourced from our own village shop on The Green

Set in a beautiful orchard location in the village of Long Sutton, Orchardleigh B&B is an ideal base for local leisure opportunities including visiting family & friends, golfing breaks, cycling or walking holidays, visits to the numerous National Trust properties in the area, shopping at Clarks Village or even revelling at Glastonbury Festival.

 

Orchardleigh B&B is also an ideal stop-over for those travelling from London down to the far South West and back again - we are half way to Cornwall!
